Sentral East Austin at 1630 E. Sixth

Room 228 was a basic, no-frills room I booked through Capitol One Travel for a Saturday night concert at Mohawks. It was above a Social Sports bar with a DJ playing until 2 AM, and the room was unusable until 3 AM, when the bar closed and trash was dumped. I felt duped and ripped off by the hotel and staff. I wanted to make a scene and complain, but took the high road. I wouldn't stay at any property run by this management company again. The TV didn't work, and staff couldn't tell me how street parking compared with their parking. Their parking was cheaper, so they could have made another $20 from me. It was a poor experience all around. The room is over that corner bar, and the dumpsters are below the balcony.

The room worked for what we needed, but it hadn't been cleaned very well. The fridge was open, and whoever left me one single hot shiner, thanks! Parking feels sketchy if you're in an F150 because the garage gate is only 7' 2".

Emmy and Jean Hunt were very sweet. I stayed in clean, nice studio unit 205, and really loved the location. There's something for everyone nearby, and it's very walkable. The music from neighboring bars is loud, but I played white noise through YouTube music on the TV and could manage it. Parking around here is a pain in the ass, so having a parking pass was great, and I loved that everything was included. It was clean and well kept. I'd only change the TV to a swivel mount.

Alexa made moving in smooth and stress-free, and she's continued to be helpful, kind, and professional. I'm grateful for her help finding my home here. The community has been clean, quiet, and well maintained since day one, and maintenance is responsive and stays on top of things. I've had a great experience living here.
