The Westin Austin Downtown

The rooms are always spacious and clean, and the beds are soft enough that I sleep well. I keep coming back whenever I'm in Austin because the hotel is beautiful, fun, and close to everything. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. I celebrated my marriage here, and even with how busy they were, they handled everything so smoothly and made it feel special. Deeja, thank you for being so sweet and great with guests, and thanks to Aaron and Sydney too. You all made me feel valued and heard. I'll be back!

Deja at the front desk made such a difference to our stay at the Westin Downtown Austin. I may have the spelling of her name wrong, but I hope she gets recognized. She was friendly and very polite, and patiently answered every question and concern we had. Her professionalism and upbeat attitude made the experience even better. Thanks for taking such good care of us. I'll definitely return.

The elite member breakfast at Skipjack, their seafood restaurant, was generous and a real highlight. I also booked the stay for a celebration and was surprised with complimentary macarons and a bottle of Prosecco, a lovely touch. The rooftop bar is fantastic, and the pool up there adds to it. The Westin feels luxurious and sits right in downtown Austin. A few things could've gone better. At check-in, they couldn't find my reservation at first and thought I'd booked another one. There were a few tags left in the closet from a previous guest. The AC fan seemed to run nonstop, making the room loud, and the controls weren't clear, especially in the heat. The bed also felt shorter than the Heavenly Beds I've had at other Westins.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, the water pressure strong, and the bar staff and drinks were great. Breakfast at the restaurant was really good too. The downtown Austin location made it easy to get to bars and comedy clubs. Everyone was friendly, especially valet Zane and Johnny, who took great care of us and went the extra mile. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.
