I’m not willing to hand over this much personal information for what they call “my own safety.” The ID upload and background check feel ridiculous, and they offer me a false sense of security. If this hadn’t been a work trip, I would’ve cancelled and booked somewhere else. We’re adults and can look after our own safety. Just run a regular hotel like everyone else instead of trying to hold our hands.
