La Paloma Las Flores

Room 14 has a beautiful patio over the hills, with a sliver of a view back to the bay. Having coffee and breakfast outside in the morning was amazing. We made breakfast every day with the plates, bowls, cups, silverware, toaster, and oven provided in the room, then ate out at night. Everything is within walking distance, and Vons is just around the corner for easy grocery trips. We got extra pillows and blankets shortly after asking. The family who owns this sweet mom-and-pop place is wonderful, and most rooms have been upgraded and renovated. Just be aware that you walk up a side street and then climb about 26 stairs to get to the office. For the price, location, and accommodations, I’d recommend giving this family your business. You’ll be pleased and satisfied.

The hot water ran out during every shower, and the curtains didn’t seem thick enough for privacy, even with blurry stickers on the windows. We were in an edge room, so people passed by at all hours of the night talking. The upside was not having to climb all the stairs whenever we came back. The room was clean, though I don’t think housekeeping came through. It’s reasonably close to the main strip and Vons, but far enough away to avoid the town noise. It was a wonderful stay for the two of us.

We had cottage #1, just one flight of stairs up. The room was cozy and very clean, with a small refrigerator and little coffee maker with coffee supplied. The owner, Tony, was very nice, responsive, and treated us great. We stayed three nights on a package deal and absolutely loved the place. It’s close to the grocery store and only a couple of blocks from the main boardwalk. Can’t wait to go back.

Our group of four loved staying here. The room was perfectly clean, and the staff were amazing. My 75-year-old mother had no trouble accessing the property. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the beach and close to Vons. Definitely recommend it. Special shout-out to Tony for making our stay special.
