The room was cute, and everything looked nice, new, and clean. We’d been traveling from Portland toward Ontario for my dad’s funeral when a terrible snowstorm stranded us in North Powder. A very compassionate woman helped us figure out the road conditions and found us a room when we really needed one. I’m so grateful for her kindness.

We were exhausted from driving, so we skipped the fire pit, though there were s’mores kits for guests and we saw others enjoying it. Our free upgrade to a newly renovated room was small but very nice for the price, and it was all clean and fresh. The continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. It’s a modest, cute place with great service and amenities. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

I always stay here when I’m in the area because it’s by far the best room for the money. The updated rooms are warm, modern, inviting, and really well done. The new outdoor fire area and loungers are lovely, and they even give out free s’mores kits. The people working here are friendly and welcoming, and the included breakfast can hold its own against chain hotels. They could use a new, modern sign that hints at how nice the rooms are!❤️☀️❤️☀️❤️☀️

Late check-in was easy, and the staff in the lobby were friendly and competent. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, and breakfast in the morning was delicious. I’d definitely recommend it for the value, location, service, and comfort.

We needed a place for the night and were glad to find this gem. They gave us two adjoining rooms for the kids, and both were clean. Breakfast was one of the best, with several kinds of oatmeal, some healthy choices, and fresh homemade cinnamon rolls. So good. If we’re back in Baker City, we’ll stay here again.
