There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room, and the shared microwave wasn’t available until 7 a.m. The door locks had clearly been destroyed and replaced in different spots. No blanket or bath mat, and although the towels were clean, they were badly stained. The toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet. Some staff were nice and helpful, others surly and rude. A guy in the parking lot hassled me, asking if I “knew Bubba.” I didn’t feel very safe here.

I got stranded at the airport after flying in and took an Uber to a nearby hotel, somehow passing all the nice ones. This place was horrible. There were homeless people everywhere doing all kinds of things, and the property had a barbed wire fence. The gate was locked, and they were going to make me walk all the way around to get to my room, but luckily the security guard opened it. The room smelled bad. The comforter had burn holes despite being a non-smoking room, there were patched holes from punches, and wires were exposed. The water pressure was awful, and then I spotted a baby roach crawling across the floor. I didn’t even sleep in the sheets. The room phone had no cord, so I used my cell to request a blanket that never arrived.

The room smelled like cigarettes, the sheets had burn holes, the window didn’t close properly, and the door didn’t seem to lock. Everything inside was bad, and I felt really unsafe. Outside and inside, the hotel was awful. The front desk and manager were rude. When I arrived, I saw people who looked like prostitutes and guys who looked like they were on drugs. There was only one way in because the exit was broken. Driving through, I saw people standing outside rooms or sitting on the floor, people on bikes, some with bags of clothes hanging outside, and people staring at me. There were also abandoned cars with broken windows and a lot of activity going on. I wouldn’t recommend this place to families, single moms, single women, or anybody. I don’t understand why it’s still open.

Roaches. That’s the whole story at Motel 6, Airport. There were roaches crawling on the walls, and I was out of the room in under two minutes. I asked for a refund and was told my card wouldn’t be charged, but it was charged anyway, and I still haven’t gotten a cent back. The secure parking area, which requires a gate key, had a large homeless population, and people were openly doing drugs there. I could say more about that, or about the nighttime motel worker saying he wouldn’t charge my debit card and then doing it anyway, but I’ll keep coming back to the roaches. Unless you enjoy roaches, do not go here. I do not recommend this place.

I’ve been staying at the motel 6 for about eight months. The manager is awesome, security is great and friendly, and the front desk workers are always chill and ready to help. It really feels like a tight-knit family. You guys are awesome, and I love you all xoxoxo darcy
