We normally never had issues here, but this time the bathroom doorknob had been taken off and just set back on top of the screws. The shower knob was like that too. The water barely got warm. After trying for about two hours, I called the front desk. The woman said it was weird and that it had always worked fine. I called again, and she said she’d come up to check. When I asked about a refund, she said we weren’t eligible because we’d checked in the day before. I explained that we had checked out and then returned, and had only been there for about two hours. She still said no, because we’d stayed more than 15 or 20 minutes. If we’d mentioned it before then, she said, we could have gotten a refund. She finally came up an hour and a half later and supposedly fixed the shower. It got a lot warmer, almost hot, but not quite. The next day, close to checkout, I went down to pay for another day because I was hurt and could barely move, and needed to rest. I handed the money to the man at the desk, and he said that if we were going to ask for a refund over another small issue, we shouldn’t come back. Wow. We said, you know what, we’ll do just that, so give us our money back!

We paid $210 on a Saturday night for a filthy, deplorable room. The floors hadn’t been vacuumed in who knows how long, and there was dust an inch thick on the furniture. The bathroom door looked as if someone had punched both sides of it. The coffee pot was missing the flap for the reservoir, apparently broken off, and seemed unsafe to use. There was just one large bathroom towel, and it felt like it hadn’t been washed properly. This is a disgusting excuse for a motel, not fit for anyone. It needs to be condemned, since they clearly have no standards to follow. Corporate Headquarters seriously needs to look into the flea bag motel using the name Americans Best Value Inn & Suites. Do not stay here.

I slept on top of the bed instead of getting under the covers. The room was horrible. There were no towels, though I finally got some just before checkout, and there was no coffee in the room or access to the lobby. The shower tub is pictured.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but some of the repairs were clearly done by someone unskilled. The parking lot was nearly empty, with only a handful of cars. We meant to eat breakfast at the hotel, but around 8 the room was dark and locked, so we went elsewhere.

I paid $144 a night and the room was extremely dirty, with no toilet paper. I should at least get my money back. Please don’t waste yours by staying here.
