It was an easy, relaxing stay, with a spacious room, smart TVs, a fridge, and a microwave. The staff were friendly, helpful, and respectful. I'd highly recommend Super 8 for your next visit.

The location is very central, though the street itself isn't the best. The fence helps. The managers seem to care, and when I asked for a better room that was available on my second day, they gave it to me. Great service.

They treat my wife and me like family, and I really love staying here. The rooms are clean and the accommodations are nice. I'm blessed to have friends like them.

The receptionist wouldn't check me in for my three-night stay because they wouldn't honor my third-party reservation. She wanted me to cancel the nonrefundable booking and pay her directly instead, which would have cost $30 more in total.

Union Avenue and South Avenue get a bad reputation, but there are some really good places to shop and eat around there. This Super 8 has its own history and reputation, like most motels on Union Ave, and I can say it's a step up from what it used to be. I think it may once have been called Bakersfield Motel or something like that. That past doesn't have to put people off giving the motel a chance or enjoying what Union and Bakersfield have to offer. Go see for yourself.
