Coach Stop Inn

The new owners were lovely to talk with and made a different, interesting breakfast each morning. Our room was nice, and the welcome cookies and bath salts were thoughtful touches. My wife enjoyed the salts after a long day in Acadia. It’s a handy central base for Acadia and Bar Harbor, and Ellsworth too if you need something you can’t find in Bar Harbor. A great little spot.

The food was the highlight for us. Each breakfast was a multi-course meal made with fresh ingredients, and every dish felt carefully prepared. We looked forward to it each day. Jim and Anna were welcoming and happy to answer our questions, and the room was clean and comfortable, with AC and Netflix that we appreciated during the hot weather. Getting around without the car was easy. The inn is right on the #1 Acadia Island Explorer line, with service to the Acadia NP visitor Center and downtown. We flagged down the shuttle in the mornings, and the drivers dropped us off in the evenings, so we never needed the car. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend stay, and can’t wait to return to this lovely place.

Amanda and Derrick are clearly excited to bring their vision to this historic inn, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Our room at the Coach Stop Inn was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and they accommodated our dietary restrictions. We had a great stay.

The breakfasts were so good that we were excited to wake up and find out what was on the menu. Anna greeted us with a smile and made sure we had what we needed, working with her husband, Jim, to make the stay feel special. The Coach Stop Inn is charming, clean, and well located for visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. This was our first bed and breakfast, and it’ll be hard for other places to measure up.
