For visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor, this is a good option. The motel is quiet despite being only a 5-10 minute walk from downtown, and the outside and grounds have been updated and look attractive. There were chairs on the walkway outside each room, nice for sitting and watching the world go by. The rooms are large, comfortable, and spotless, though modest and somewhat dated, with basic amenities. The price felt a bit high for what you get. The towels were a little small, but I appreciated the separate dark makeup cloth. If you need more towels, it’s easiest to pick them up at the office. There are some odd rules, including no seafood in rooms, so don’t bring leftovers back. Overall, the rooms are spacious and clean.

We were happy with our stay in Bar Harbor ME and would book again next year. The owner was friendly at check-in and gave us restaurant recommendations. Our room was lovely and very clean, and the grounds were pretty and well kept. It was nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view, with downtown Bar Harbor within walking distance.

The owner was so sweet, and we loved staying here for our elopement. My now husband and I found the room spacious and well kept, and the location was perfect. Downtown is an easy walk away, while the motel sits far enough back to stay quiet and makes coming and going simple. We plan to return when we make it back to Bar Harbor.

The rooms were simple, spacious, and very clean, and our second-floor room had a balcony. We didn’t use the pool, though it looked very nice. The family-owned property is well kept, and everyone we spoke with was friendly. There’s plenty of free parking. The location is hard to beat, walking distance to town but just outside the busy area, so it’s quiet at night.

The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the room was big and clean with a bed that felt like home. It was peaceful and quiet, which matters most to me. Shops and restaurants downtown were an easy walk away, so we didn’t have to spend time looking for parking at about $4/hour. Perfect place to stay.
