Desert Inn Motel

The owners were cool, though it's not a five-star hotel. There were people wandering around the parking lot, like other reviews said, but they didn't bother me and I think they were friends with people staying there. I had to decide between staying here and hoping my car would make it to Needles at night, and I didn't want to take that chance. Sometimes you have to take what you can get.

I stayed here for a week through the county homeless program, but what I saw was too much for me and my kids, so we couldn't stay any longer. Nothing at the motel has improved, and I feel bad for people who have to live in conditions this miserable. The room smelled of hard drugs as soon as we walked in, and the windows were broken. Please take care of yourselves. You matter in this world. May the Lord bless you all. Amen.

Our stay was good, and parking wasn't a problem. We had a clean, nice upstairs room with two beds, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The outside is a different story: about 12 rooms were red tagged. I don't know if that's because of remodeling or the rain, but the place needs work. The area seemed a little rough, maybe because of the price. The doors also made a loud noise when opening and closing.

The staff were all really nice, and it was crazy cheap, but that's about all I can say in its favor. My room hadn't been cleaned at all and had broken items scattered around. There were cigarette holes in the blankets, though luckily I was on a work assignment and had a sleeping bag. I hope I was mistakenly given that room and the whole place isn't run that way. I should've looked the place up first, but I wouldn't stay here again.
