The front desk staff worked hard, and that's the only reason I gave this place a 2. Otherwise, it would've been a 1. The room had stained walls and carpet, filthy curtains, threadbare towels, a nasty ironing board, and a toilet that barely flushed. The shower was okay, but it needed a new curtain. The entrance building smelled like mold, and I could only hope the room wouldn't smell that way too. There was no real security: the back entrance wasn't locked, you didn't need a key to get in, and the room lock was extremely loose. One building says Days Inn and the other says Super 8. Inside and out, it felt really trashy for a Wyndham property. We were told to expect a “sack breakfast.” If all you need is a shower and a bed, this might do. For a pleasant stay, I'd go farther down the road.

The night-shift counter person was very pleasant again on our latest visit, but the jacuzzi suite was falling apart. Tiles were coming off, the caulking had cracked away from the wall, and when we ran the water and switched on the jets, out came dirt, chunks of something, and a wad of hair from chewbacca. We gave up on using it, so that was $130 wasted. The towel racks were nearly pulling out, held by drywall screws, and the countertop was separating. I told the manager/owner, and she still charged our card and just said, “oh really.” We won't return to either place. Our first stay had been fine, and the front-counter woman was great. We upgraded to the jacuzzi suite so another family could use our original room. On the second visit, the person who took our reservation booked the wrong day. When we arrived on the right day, we were marked as a no-show, charged, and our room had been given away. The owners also run the hotel behind this one, so after we figured out where to sleep, they moved us there for the night without telling anyone. In the morning, housekeeping unlocked the door and tried to barge in.

The complimentary breakfast was a joke, with stale bread and spoiled milk, and the hallways smelled like weed. Several of us reported problems, but most of the staff acted like they weren't serious. One employee was the exception. There were bed bugs everywhere, and both I and a guy in another room got eaten up. Then on the second night, one room lost power and another group of ours had to move. The photos on the website had made the motel look promising when I stayed a couple of weeks ago. My company had put us up there, so I couldn't move somewhere else. It was terrible. If you're in Batavia, find another motel.

We only wanted a comfortable place to sleep between the funeral and burial of someone we loved, but the room was ice cold when we arrived and had used soap bars in the shower, mold in the fridge and heater, and no TV remote. We came to town for the funeral and had stopped to check in and leave our things, so we didn't really look at the room until about 11 that night, after we got back. I called down and was told the manager would be there from 3-7am. The person on the phone offered another room, but we had to get up and leave at 6am, and we were worried the other room might be even worse, so we stayed put. In the morning my boyfriend spoke with the manager, who did nothing. He was told we should've switched rooms or checked out. We understand a full refund wasn't possible, but some kind of compensation would've been nice. The manager was rude and showed no compassion. The cleaning staff should be fired or reprimanded. I have pictures of the mold and soap bars.
