La Quinta Inn Detroit Utica

I own with Wyndham and have stayed at many of their properties, but you guys are at the top. Even with the hotel fully booked for Valentine's Weekend, the service was amazing. I booked four rooms and they were all close together and very clean. Anything extra we needed, like a towel, washcloth, or bar soap, arrived promptly. Breakfast had a nice selection, and the eating area was clean and the food was hot. Thanks for making it such an awesome weekend.

We had a wonderful stay, thanks especially to Stacy and her excellent service. Our microwave wasn’t working, so she came up to the room, took our dinner down to the kitchen, and heated it up for our family. We’ll definitely be back.

The room and hotel were clean, including the baseboards that other hotels often miss. Whenever I passed through the lobby, no matter the time of day, staff were mopping or cleaning somewhere, especially around the lobby and front parking area. They were always welcoming and acknowledged everyone walking by.

The stay on 3/26 in room 209 was great, and breakfast was more than a basic grab-and-go spread. They had eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, muffins, yogurt, apple juice, orange juice, and more. It made us want to come back. But I accidentally left my special pillow for migraines and headaches behind. I called, and the woman who answered said she’d check and call back, but didn’t. When I called again, she said, “yeah that was me I didn’t see it.” From the way she said it, I doubt she even looked. I stayed again from 3/29-3/30 in room 306 and asked the night employee about the pillow. She told me to wait until morning and ask someone then. The gentleman who checked me out was the kindest, gentlest person. He checked on the pillow and took my number in case another housekeeper came across it. I also politely told him we’d found a bedbug before checkout and showed him a photo. He photographed it to show management and thanked me for reporting it so they could take care of it. I believe a housekeeper took my pillow or threw it away. I know it was my fault for forgetting it, but they have lost and found for a reason, and that’s where it should’ve gone. Management, some employees need a better attitude, or need to leave it outside the front door. Customer service is number one, and some of yours aren’t it. That elderly gentleman working that morning, though, was awesome. I wish he worked more.
