Comfort Inn University Area

The desk clerk was super nice, but the rest left me feeling uneasy. I'd booked online because I've stayed at other Comfort Inn locations and felt comfortable with that choice. On arrival, the place looked filthy and there were some shady people lingering out front. It was just me and my eight-year-old granddaughter, and I needed a room, so I parked nearby and went to check in. The marijuana smell hit me hard, and I didn't feel safe staying. I canceled, though I still had to pay for that night. Horrible place.

I stopped for a quick rest Friday night into Saturday and had no noise complaints. The room and bathroom were clean, and the hotel was pretty clean compared with others I saw in the same price range. Breakfast was limited but not bad, with waffles, peppered eggs, cheese omelet, and sausage. I did find a hair on a chair 🤣. I enjoyed my stay.

Breakfast was very good, and check-in and checkout were easy. The place was clean, and the staff were friendly. A good experience.

The staff were friendly, which is the only reason I gave it a 1. The room was disgusting, and things were broken everywhere. The bathroom door handle fell off when I opened it. The office chair was missing a wheel and nearly sent me face-first into the desk when I sat down. The ice machine didn't work, and the whole place was extremely dirty. At $200 a night, this was a joke. The hotel next door was 400 times nicer and cheaper. The only response I got was that they hoped I'd give them another chance. No thanks, not at that price. The owner needs to close this place and remodel the whole thing. I was highly disappointed.
