Candlewood Suites Baytown by IHG

Anthony at the front desk is the reason I’d return. He listened, dealt with the problem quickly, and brought upper management in. His kindness and genuine willingness to help made the rest of my stay feel good, and he restored some of my faith in this location. He’s the only reason I’m giving service five stars, and I’d come back to see him, expecting the IHG standard I’m used to. I’ve had IHG Diamond status for five years, though I traveled less over the past year and am now Platinum. During this stay, a serious issue came up. The staff member involved wouldn’t take responsibility, leaving me feeling as if I was being made to look like a liar. I was very upset and reported it to Anthony. When I spoke with the GM, I felt he questioned my integrity. I said I’d take my concerns to IHG corporate. He softened his approach a little after that, but I still didn’t feel he handled my complaint properly. If a houseman or maintenance worker enters your room, keep a close eye on your food and belongings.

I had no other option at the last minute, so I stayed here. Check-in took far too long, parking was scarce, and the room smelled musty. Getting in and out of the lot felt like Russian roulette because of the traffic. I’ll look for somewhere else next time.

We were in Baytown for a family reunion, and my family’s favorite part was the outdoor patio. The room was spotlessly clean and cozy, and check-in went great. This was the best hotel to me. Excellent job, keep it up. We’ll definitely see you next time. 😍

The breakfast each morning was delicious, and the service was great the whole time. At Candlewood Suites, Baytown, TX, I found the staff welcoming and the room clean and comfortable, with top-notch amenities. I had a great stay and will definitely come back.
