We stayed for three days and were very pleased. There was a good choice of kitchen items for cooking, and the room was spacious and very clean. Parking was nice, and having an elevator meant no walking up stairs. We’re looking forward to another stay.

The location is hard to beat, with an easy walk to the middle of downtown. It’s a great locally owned hotel, with large, clean rooms for a reasonable price. The staff are kind and really helpful. Based on my experience last weekend, I’d certainly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and very nice, but the location wasn’t so good for me, about four blocks from downtown. There are plugs in the parking garage that I could have used for my electric car, but they said I wasn’t allowed to plug in. I don’t understand why, since I was staying at the hotel.

We’d booked the Bungalow but were told a “double booking” meant we had to move to the East Lodge. That was only the start of an awful stay. The driveway was covered in old indoor carpets that smelled like mold and wet garbage, and inside, the overpowering mildew and mold stench hit us immediately. The “towels” available to rent were hand towels, nowhere near enough, so thankfully we’d brought some of our own. The pillows smelled of cat urine, which was disgusting when we hadn’t even brought a pet. Sleeping was nearly impossible. Now all our belongings, including clothes, bags, and toiletries, smell like mildew. There’s a sign on the fridge threatening a $200 cleaning fee if you don’t clean before leaving. But the check-in email says checkout is at 10 a.m. to give their cleaning service time to prepare for the next guests. Which is it? I’ve stayed in plenty of Airbnbs and never had an experience this bad. It was unsanitary and poorly managed, and the place we got was a total bait-and-switch from what we booked. Avoid it at all costs.

We had a great time traveling with our two dogs. The place was clean, clean and very efficient. We’ll come again when it’s warmer.
