Homewood Beaumont, TX

Brie helped book rooms near our family and went above and beyond. The staff were all super nice, the location was great, and the rooms were large and clean. The breakfast was outstanding, probably the best we’ve had at a hotel, and the price was terrific. Everything else was sensational. A couple of small things: plates weren’t checked, so I had to ask the front desk for more for the other guests. The bacon ran out quickly, but the chef put more in the oven and it didn’t take too long. The chia puddings were brilliant, and I’d love them to be available every day as a great gluten-free option. They were there for Saturday breakfast, but not Sunday.

The kitchen host went out of his way to bring out some breakfast items for my family and me after we got back from the graduation ceremony, even though breakfast service had ended. His kindness meant a lot. The front desk agent also kindly offered a later checkout, which gave us peace of mind about packing the car while we were away and made the day easier. The staff were welcoming, accommodating, and attentive throughout my wonderful stay at Hilton Home Suites in Beaumont. I had a minor problem with the remote, but someone came right away and fixed it.

The evening social was delicious and a perfect pick-me-up after traveling all day. They had hamburgers, hot dogs, and Caesar salad. It set the standard for what I’ll expect from complimentary evening socials at other Homewood properties. At the desk, the employee was friendly, recognized my diamond status, offered complimentary water, and asked whether I preferred points or a snack. She also told me about the social. My digital key never arrived because their system was down, so I had to stop at the front desk to check in. Once I got to the room, though, I found long blonde hairs all over the floor, across the kitchen, the hardwood in the living area, and the carpet around the bed. I have a hard time believing the floor was swept before I arrived. It felt unsanitary. This could have been a five-star stay, but the lack of cleanliness spoiled it.

The breakfast here was the best we've had at a Homewood Suites lately. We got more space than we booked thanks to an upgrade, and the room was spotless. The beds were comfortable, with no sagging dips in the mattresses. We had our 70 lb Collie with us and found plenty of grassy space to walk her. We stay at Homewood Suites often and would come back to this one next time we're passing through Beaumont.
