Bedford Post Inn

I booked at the last minute after sightseeing and running a couple of errands nearby. They were extremely accommodating, and the rooms and bath felt luxurious. It’s very dog friendly, too. We had an excellent dinner at the tavern and breakfast the next morning. The staff were friendly and the place had a quaint, quality feel. Josh took my reservation and was available all evening, and Susan, the office manager, was friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll return when I’m in the area.

I always have a great time here. I recently went to an amazing benefit with Rob Thomas, and my friend and I are heading to the barn for brunch this Sunday. I can’t wait. What should I get? :)

The restaurant looked beautiful with all the lovely Christmas decorations, and there were plenty of servers around. The food was wonderful, especially the special sauces. We’ll be back.

The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. The grounds are lovely, tucked behind a forest with a nice nature trail, and there are several outdoor seating spots with fire pits. The inn itself is tiny, about eight rooms, with a small common room, fireplace, and board games. Our room had plenty of space, a huge bathroom, a big walk-in shower, and a nice soaking tub. Unfortunately, on our last night the tub started making a horrible noise and couldn’t be used, which was upsetting since it was the room’s main feature. The bathroom light also didn’t work properly. After a day visiting sleepy hollow, we returned to find no parking in the lot. We had to leave the car in the restaurant lot and move it back later when a space opened. For a small inn at this price, I don’t understand why there isn’t dedicated guest parking. The property and rooms are very nice, but those problems kept the stay from being amazing.
