Fairfield Inn & Suites Bedford

The room was a great size, and the hotel looks new and well maintained. Breakfast was great, and the rooms look really nice. The cleaners could pay closer attention to details, though, like hair in the bathtub and dirty spots on the nightstands.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, but this place is run down and needs a complete overhaul. I usually feel safe choosing Marriott, but this was the worst Marriott stay of my life. My room was unbelievably dirty: blood spatters on the sheets, dirty pillowcases, black mold on the AC vents, and awful-smelling food splattered all over the microwave. There were sticky dried soda drops on the desk, and it didn’t look like any surfaces had been wiped, shower walls included. The shower curtain had dirty handprints, and there was black dirt in the beds that looked like flea poop.

The bed was so comfortable, and the room was extremely clean. Breakfast had a great, big selection. Our first room’s refrigerator didn’t work, but the staff quickly found us another room.

The lobby snacks are ridiculously expensive, so go to Sheetz instead. There are also a couple of restaurants and gas stations nearby, and the hotel is conveniently just off the turnpike, with easy access in and out. We stayed two nights. The beds were comfortable, the TV was big enough, and there was hot water, plus breakfast, coffee, and tea. The place was clean and didn’t smell like smoke. Oddly, our beds weren’t made during the stay. Maybe there was something we were supposed to do, but I’m not sure.
