Quality Inn & Suites Waco North

The room didn't seem too bad at first, but the smell was absolutely horrible. Even the hallway smelled better. Please don't waste your money, and don't stay here.

For the price, this hotel is really nice. I agree with another reviewer that it deserves 3 stars instead of 2. The staff were attentive and kind, and you can tell they care about the hotel and its guests. The lobby was very clean, and breakfast was fresh and tasty.

The rooms are spacious, but that doesn't help when there are several roaches around and I can't sleep. Bugs are the first thing that matters to me in a hotel room, and now I'm planning to stay awake, hold tight to my belongings, and wait until it's time to leave. Cleaning also seems poor in places that should be basic housekeeping, like the corners, under the microwave, behind the refrigerator, and behind the bed. I wonder if this is a manager problem: maybe the housekeeper wasn't trained well, is rushed, or no one checks that the work is done properly. A big roach in the bed and areas that haven't been vacuumed or cleaned properly aren't acceptable.

The breakfast room was pretty, with its high ceiling and chandelier, and the food was good, including eggs, sausage, and a biscuit. My room was nice, with a really comfy bed and pillows. The cozy comforter kept me warm while my husband ran the A/C, and the fridge kept our leftovers cold. The shower felt good after a long day.
