The location is perfect, close to campus and walkable from BART, so there's no need to rent a car. Cheeseboard is next door, Andronico's is nearby, Farmer's Market is on Thursdays, and Bay Wheels bikes are just around the corner. The hotel staff and bistro staff are both great. Vanne Bistro makes the best mochas and coffee.

I've stayed here for months at a time with my daughter and have zero complaints. It's the most pleasant extended-stay place in the area, with a safe, courteous group of residents and an outdoor, natural setting like the hyatt house, but without the hyatt house prices. The staff are incredibly cool and make the place feel like family.

We picked this cute little hotel so we could walk to a concert at the Greek, and it worked perfectly. The staff were really nice, especially Ryan. Highly recommend!

This is my first one-star hotel review. The shower was filthy, and worse, it didn't drain, so everyone else's gross gunk pooled around your feet. The faucet had very low water pressure. The stained comforter had no cover, just the comforter itself, which looked like it might have been used for 10 years without being washed.

It's a good place to stay when visiting Berkeley. You're within walking distance of some great bakeries and places to eat, but farther from the university, so you avoid the crowds found closer in.
