I went back because our first stay had been exceptional, so the way this visit unfolded was a real shock. At the front desk, Christina heard my concerns about the bathroom and contacted Darhan, whose name I believe I remember correctly. He apologized and printed a bill showing I wouldn’t be charged. The room had seemed unclean when we got up: the toilet paper holder was loose or broken, and a face towel had dried blue toothpaste or mouthwash on it. We hurried to get ready and checked out. We’d returned at 3:00 a.m. after an unforeseen situation while traveling from out of state. I called the overnight representative, Andy, who was gracious and explained we could check in, pay for one night, and check out later that day. Since we clearly needed sleep, he kindly offered a 1:00 p.m. checkout instead of the usual 11:00 a.m., which we appreciated. After we left for a funeral, the hotel director called and said I owed for two nights. She spoke rudely and aggressively. I explained we were walk-ins without a two-night reservation and that the manager had waived the charge and given me paperwork. She wouldn’t listen, threatened collections, and kept challenging what I’d said about the room, as if trying to dispute it afterward. The call felt hostile and completely inappropriate. I hung up and called back to ask for General Manager Kevin, who wasn’t available. Darhan apologized again, said he’d leave Kevin a message, and transferred me to his voicemail. This happened on May 14. I’ve called three more times and left messages, but still haven’t heard back. A simple cleanliness concern turned into an unnecessarily aggressive, unprofessional mess. I’m deeply disturbed by how it was handled, and sadly won’t stay here again.
