Petit Crest Villas

The washer in our unit was really loud, and getting the dishwasher started took a few tries. TV service and wifi were both unreliable, so it’s a good chance to enjoy being out in the wilderness.

The villa felt comfortable and well equipped, like a home away from home, and we spent nearly a week there. The front office staff were warm and helpful, and the lake was only minutes away, with hiking, kayaking, and boating nearby. Petit Crest Villas was a peaceful mountain getaway. We had a fabulous stay and can't think of anything negative. We're already hoping to return next year.

Our villa had two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs, plus a kitchen, washer and dryer, dining and living areas, and two decks. There were also two beds upstairs and space for two cars. The room was nice, and sitting on the balcony at night to watch lightning bugs was lovely. I’d suggest a larger, clearer sign for the check-in office, since finding it and picking up the keys was a little difficult. The decks could use some attention too. It was our first visit, and there’s a lot to do around the gated Big Canoe community. You check in at the gate and get a card to scan for later entry. There are many places to stay, a marina with boat and kayak rentals and a small shop, hiking trails, waterfalls, and walks around the lake. There are also restaurants, golf, pools that you pay to use, and, I believe, a beach area with a slide, though we haven't visited that. Nearby cities have plenty to do as well.

Quiet, quaint little villas, and a beautiful setting. Nobody bothered us, and checkout was quick and easy. I'd definitely consider coming back.
