The room was reasonably priced, and it was convenient for going to the beach, eating out or shopping. The front desk attendant was polite and friendly.

It looked really nice for the price in the online pictures, but the room wasn't like that when I arrived. It was somewhat clean, though the tub needed more attention and the bathroom door was really nasty. There were two of us, but just one towel, and no tissue in the bathroom. The lighting was awful, with no overhead light, only little, very dim lamps by the bed. The walls were paper thin, and we heard the people next door all night, so we didn't get much sleep. The ads on booking .com need updating.

We paid in advance after a travel company that handles bookings suggested this place when Quality Inn had no room, but I won't make that mistake again. The pictures, inside and out, looked as if they were 20 years old. Our room was horrible: black hair balled up on the bathroom floor, carpet visibly matted with dirt and apparently not vacuumed in a long time, and a terrible old, moldy smell. My husband went back with the card, but they said they wouldn't refund us. He told them to give the room to someone else. There were people hanging around outside who seemed to be homeless or possibly hourly clients. We learned our lesson.

T, the front desk clerk, was pleasant and really helpful. She went out of her way to tell me about the area and what was going on, and felt like my own tour guide.
