The patio with the holding cell was a fun spot to hang out and take pictures, and we loved the hotel's theme and history. It was quiet on the weekend, without many people around, and we agreed we'd stay again. We had the large ground-floor room, Room 6, I believe. The mattresses were super comfortable, and there were extra blankets at the foot of the bed for times we didn't want the full comforter. The sheets and pillows felt brand new and were very comfortable. The bathroom had a warmed toilet seat for chilly mornings and a huge shower. It's just a short walk to several shops and restaurants, and we parked across the street for easy access. Be sure to get your key code before arriving, since there usually isn't anyone there to let you in. We did get to speak with an employee, whose name I can't remember, and she was super friendly and helped us out. She also gave us lots of ideas and tips for places to visit.

The room was nicely remodeled, especially the bathroom, and there was plenty of space for four people. It's a cool old sheriff's office, which makes this historic place a great spot when visiting Bisbee. Just remember it's more like a vacation rental, with self check-in to do ahead of time. If you're prepared, it should be no problem.

This place was overpriced, and we couldn't wait to leave. The pet hair and a pet toy under the bed were disturbing, even though I knew the hotel allowed pets. The room was tiny, about 9 x 8, with a window facing a rock face and no view at all, despite requesting a view room. The photos don't prepare you for that. Worst of all, the mattress was extremely soft and the pillows hard. I woke up each day with low back pain. Honestly, it was one of the most uncomfortable stays we've had in a while.

The one drawback was a strong mildew smell around the patio, coming from a holding cell at its end and some of the blocks on the patio walls. We couldn't really enjoy sitting out there because of it. Inside, though, the room and bathroom were immaculate. We stayed in the “ Deluxe Suite, Multiple Beds, Patio, Ground Floor” room, and the beds seemed new and very comfortable, with four clean, high-quality pillows on each and good sheets. It was clear the owner cared about guest comfort. The large walk-in shower had great water pressure, and everything was clean. Check-in was easier than expected, parking was easy, and the hotel stayed quiet even on Saturday night. Several restaurants and most attractions were an easy 2-5 minute walk away. I'd stay again anytime for those comfortable beds and how clean the room was.

Room 6 faced the road and had a little fridge we used. Coffee was available, and you can walk pretty much anywhere. We really enjoyed our stay, and the location was perfect. Thanks!
