I asked for a refund after two awful rooms, but they wouldn't return the first night's charge. Losing 60 bucks felt worth it if it meant avoiding whatever diseases that place had. In the first room, there was dried mud in the carpet, a mildew smell, and a stained, broken bath. The second room was larger, but the sheets and pillowcases had black stains, the shower had broken plastic, and there were spiders in the bath. DO NOT STAY HERE. Cascades, less than a minute away by car, was cheaper, clean, and comfortable.

The staff were nice, but that wasn't enough to make this place worth the price. My husband booked it after our usual options were full, and we stayed two nights. The rooms were very dated, with stains on everything from the mirror and dresser to the sheets and towels. The pillows were practically flat. Even borrowing one from the other bed still felt like sleeping without a pillow. The recent paint job was sloppy, with paint on the floor and carpet, and the ceiling was chipping. Lighting was mismatched too, bright white LED by the sink and yellow light in the bathroom and near the beds. The pool and elevator weren't working. Breakfast was as minimal as possible, with nothing to drink except coffee or cereal milk unless you paid extra. There were also people, mostly hanging around behind the hotel, who seemed sketchy. The place looks like it's falling apart, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The whole top floor, including my room, smelled like cigarettes. There was pubic and head hair in the bathtub, and urine on the back of the toilet. When I asked to move, they said no other rooms were unavailable. Housekeeping came and wiped the toilet with water and toilet paper, without disinfectant. I had disinfectant wipes, so I cleaned it myself. Makes you wonder what hidden treasures are in the bed.

We paid for four rooms with two double beds in each, but every room had only one bed. The staff wouldn't help with the missing half of the beds, while repeatedly hounding me about payment as my coworkers slept on the floor. Three of the four rooms also lacked the advertised TV, microwave, or fridge, and the heat and A/C didn't work. The rooms were filthy, with cigarette mess and stains everywhere. This place is a trainwreck run by half-wits. I attached pictures of the "manager" asleep barefoot behind the front desk with her child, after she'd called me for the fourth time that morning about paying. All a discount hotel needs to provide is a roof and a bed, and Best Value Bloomington couldn't manage even that. Avoid it.

The room was badly outdated and smelled awful, with roaches inside and walls that looked like they were molding. The bed and sheets stank, and although it was a king, two twin beds under the box springs were holding up the king mattress. The place gave off a sketchy feeling as soon as we walked in. We left, and outside there were sketchy people partying and making a lot of noise. This place should be shut down ASAP.
