Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham MSP Airport Bloomington

I’d prepaid through Expedia for one night in a two-queen room before our 6 am flight, but when we arrived I realized I’d booked the wrong date. The manager on duty said he couldn’t change the reservation, so we paid $100 for a room with one queen bed. That didn’t sit right with me, especially since I’ve worked in hotels where we looked after our customers. I explained my mistake through Expedia’s chat and said the manager couldn’t cancel it. Expedia called the hotel to request cancellation of the prepaid reservation. I went to the desk with my iPad to let the manager know they were calling. Expedia canceled it and refunded us about $75.

The strong smell of chemicals and weed throughout the hotel made us feel unsafe. We left after only a few hours and wouldn’t stay there again.

I travel a lot, and this has been the cleanest, most comfortable affordable place I’ve found. The hotel is very clean, the staff are amazing, and I’d definitely recommend it. 10/10.

The staff were excellent, but after staying here recently we’re now taking bedbug precautions. I pulled this little bugger off me. I reported the bedbugs to the front desk the next day after getting home. Check the room before bringing your things in. These bugs are really resilient.
