Park Plaza Minneapolis Mall of America

We liked the value and the easy walk across the street to the mall. The rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the kids had a good time in the pools, which were busy whenever we saw them. Parents could sit nearby in a spot away from the splashing. The front desk setup was confusing since it serves two hotels, with separate lines for each. I don't see why either set of computer terminals couldn't help any guest. We skipped breakfast and went to IHOP next door. We would recommend staying here.

The location was convenient, and breakfast was the usual hotel fare. The room, though, was dirty. We had to take out the overflowing trash ourselves, there was garbage under the bed, and the carpet was stained. I wouldn't have used the shower without sandals. Someone was able to charge six drinks to our room. I think they should have checked at least the last name as well as the room number. I only noticed because I got the receipt at checkout, and the front desk seemed annoyed when I pointed out the charge and asked for a refund. DO BETTER!!

We enjoyed having a suite, and the room was clean. It was an easy walk to Mall of America, with IHOP and TGI Fridays right next door. Check-in and checkout were simple, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay, though we didn't try the pools. I'd recommend staying here.

There are lots of useful extras: two TVs, a microwave and fridge, a baby crib, clean towels, free parking, and discounted tickets for Mall activities. The pools were clean and stayed open until midnight, and the staff were efficient. The suite has a proper bedroom door, and it's an easy walk to the mall. The downsides were a dirty carpet, a bathroom fan that was very loud and wouldn't fully switch off, and a loud AC. The coffee tasted like water. They don't clean rooms daily, and the place gets really packed on weekends.
