The Huntington Hotel

The spa team is the best, and the SPA experience was top notch. Amazing hotel, highly recommend it!

When I raised the pool issue with the manager in person, she gave me her email, but she has ignored all my follow-up messages. The pool shown prominently on the Huntington Hotel's Hotels.com listing is described there as a perk for guests over 16. At check-in, I learned it belongs to a separate company and hotel guests can't access it. Using it requires a separate spa appointment costing over $100 for just a few hours. The hotel's claim that guests are told this policy in advance is false. This felt like deceptive advertising, and I'd strongly suggest booking elsewhere if you expect the amenities you paid for. Be very cautious if you're relying on what the hotel advertises.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, and in the morning our packed car was waiting at the front door with water for the drive. My wife, baby, and I stayed one night and found the staff unusually polite and attentive. We had a fantastic dinner at the bar in The Big Four. I could happily spend all year in that atmosphere. There was a nearby concert on Tuesday, and the restaurant was in chaos. The lack of leadership made us nervous at first since we were exhausted and needed a quick meal before our 3:30am departure, but the food arrived without a problem and was great. Credit to the kitchen, and a huge shout-out to the bartender, a blonde, middle-aged woman who was a BOSS. It's a beautiful old hotel that's been made new. Highly recommend it. I saw some one-star reviews, but don't listen to them. People suck and are spoiled.

The room was really comfy, the service was great, and I loved the French dip sandwich from in-room dining. I haven't tried the restaurant because it's usually pretty booked. The hotel is easy to walk from to lots of food and tourist spots, though remember the hills, it's San Francisco. Amazing hotel!
