It feels safe after dark because the place is very well lit. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable, though the $90 nightly price felt like it should buy more. At $60 a night, I wouldn't have had complaints. The water stayed brown and rusty no matter how long I let it run. The shower head was too low and shot painful, piercing streams. There were flies and bugs in the room, but thankfully no bedbugs.

The location is very close to downtown, and the room was a great deal. For an exceptional price, I got a good room with a couch and small bench. The bed and shower were fine, and I think there was even a microwave.

I slept well, and the bed and bedding were great. The room was clean, with decent flooring, art, and furniture. Being just 2 miles from the start of the big hill climb bike race made the location great for me. The TV, microwave, shower, toilet, AC, and lights all worked, though some bulbs needed time to warm up. The current owners seem to be making do instead of doing major repairs: there was a rusty towel rack, cracked tile, holes, and peeling paint. That was okay with me. I saved at least $60 compared with nicer motels and got a good night's sleep.

We needed somewhere to stay while passing through town, and I remembered staying here 9 years ago, so we came back. The front desk folks were sweet and helpful. When we asked if there was a vending machine for a treat, they even gave my son an ice cream bar from their own freezer. Above and beyond. The room was very clean, everything worked properly, and our shower had incredible water pressure, a nice bonus for weary travelers. Inexpensive and clean, with amazing customer service.
