Best Western Borger Inn

The staff were very nice, but I would never stay here again. We stopped for one night and found that practically everything seemed broken. The jacuzzi in the room we requested didn’t work, and neither did the hot tub by the pool. The pool water had clumps of hair and other stuff floating in it, and a light was hanging out of a hole in the pool wall. One employee tried to call our room to tell us about a discount, but the phone was broken, so they had to come down and speak with us. Beware.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was very good. I had fresh scrambled eggs that tasted great. The sheets and pillows felt a bit damp, possibly from humidity. They also welcome pets. I’d recommend staying here.

The staff really made our three-night stay. They were exceptionally friendly, and the hotel was kept clean and fresh each day. Breakfast had made-to-order eggs every morning, plus bacon or sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, and more. They even put popcorn out in the lobby in the evenings. Thanks for such a great stay, you were all amazing!

The desk staff did try to help, but I don’t expect to come back. The room was aging and poorly kept: the shower wand had broken off the wall, another holder had been screwed in beside it, and the curtain rod was broken, leaving the bathroom soaked. Water pressure was so strong for that junk shower head it blew my contacts out and felt like a sandblaster. The room was mostly clean, except for the toilet, and the desk staff took care of that quickly. The bed was comfortable, but the walls were paper thin. A party next door kept me up, and the desk had to deal with it twice after midnight. It was a terrible night’s sleep. Breakfast was pretty awful too, everything seemed steamed in a bamboo basket. There’s a swamp or stream behind the hotel, and sulfur fumes filled my car overnight. Driving around in that smell all the next day was disgusting and strange. I’ll look elsewhere for a bed.
