Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite needed some TLC, especially the bathrooms, and anyone tall might find the bedroom mezzanine setup awkward. The other living areas were nicely proportioned. Still, we’d stay again: the price and central Boston location largely made up for the need for a good spruce-up. The suites are brilliantly located in the heart of the city.

We’re spending a week here while we visit Boston, and the accommodations have been comfortable enough. Boston In let us check in early, which was a huge help after our red-eye. We grabbed breakfast and then had a place to settle in and recover. The Boston Commons is right nearby, and the metro is an easy walk away. We bought a 7-day pass and have been using it plenty as we get around the city.

We had a great time in the Penthouse at 113 Beacon for four days. There were eight of us, and the rooms were clean, nicely modern, and had a beautiful view. It’s an easy walk to shopping on Newbury and to China Town, too. The elevator is the big drawback. It’s quite old and sometimes doesn’t work. One friend arrived a day later and had to haul her suitcase up to the sixth floor. We also had to carry our luggage down the steep, narrow stairs on the last day, which was exhausting. If you book a penthouse or another high apartment, be ready to climb if the elevator is out. Even with that hassle, we loved our stay.

The Wi-Fi was a little slow and weak, so I’m giving it four stars. Otherwise, the apartments are spacious, comfortable, very clean, and in a great spot. I’d recommend them.
