Hotel Commonwealth

The rooms were wonderful, and I’d say this is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. You could see someone cleaning in every area. Nick at the front desk was one of the nicest people you could meet, with great energy, and check-in was smooth and quick. From arrival, the service was terrific. One of the friendliest doormen welcomed us, then Steve helped with our luggage and showed us to the lobby. This was our first stay at Hotel Commonwealth, and the experience was unbelievable from start to finish. Thanks to the whole team. We’ll be back! If you’re in Boston, this should be the only place you stay.

The room on the third floor was okay, nothing special, and faced somewhat toward the MassPike, so there was some noise. The staff, though, were incredibly helpful and friendly. I was there for a work conference and found plenty of space. The food was surprisingly good for hotel catering, five stars for the food and chef. The location is fantastic if you want to visit Fenway or shop along Newbury St or Prudential.

We only spent one night here while visiting the Longwood medical area for an appointment, and we were very satisfied. The hotel is in very good shape, and the room was great and spacious. It’s an easy 25-30 minute walk to the Longwood hospitals. A great option if you need to be in this part of Boston for one night or several.

The staff were amazing, and the hotel is close to Fenway Park and House of Blues, among other places. We upgraded to a King suite overlooking Fenway, and it was very comfortable. It had a bedroom with a large flat-screen TV, a separate living room with another large flat-screen TV, a spacious bathroom, and an outside balcony. It was winter, so too cold to use the balcony, but it should be a great bonus when the weather improves. The living room looks a little dated, though it was comfortable. We were very pleased and would recommend it.
