I’d read the negative reviews and was skeptical, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. The location couldn’t be better, close to the Train and just six minutes from the hospital, where I was going for a follow up. The rooms aren’t the taj mahal, but they’re nice enough, and the service was outstanding, especially from Tee.

We stayed Friday night into Saturday after booking almost a month ahead and confirming again yesterday morning. I’d received several messages about policies and general stay information, but none mentioned the planned power outage. At check-in yesterday afternoon, the front desk didn’t tell us either. We only noticed a sign in the elevator saying the hotel would be without power today from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, right around checkout. Our room had no written notice under the door, although we later heard some rooms did. Without power this morning, we had no lights, TV, phone charging, room phone, hot water for showers, or elevator access. We were on the 12th floor and walked down all 12 flights using our phone flashlights. The stairwell exit opened outside, so we had to walk around the building to get back in and check out. If we’d been told ahead of time by email, message, or at check-in, we might have cancelled and booked somewhere else. There was a month to let us know, and the lack of direct notice made the situation inconvenient and frustrating. Given what happened, I think some compensation is warranted. I’d appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing how this can be resolved.

We stayed in January 2026. The room’s AC/heater was noisy and didn’t always heat the room effectively, and the decor and furnishings felt worn, about what you’d expect from a three star hotel. The rate was reasonable for the property, but dealing with the heater wasn’t worth it. Service was okay: the cleaning staff and technician who came to check the heater were friendly and effective, and the front desk was fine. The location is not far from train station MGH.

We booked a room near MGH because our daughter in law was in labor, expecting to stay two nights. We were able to extend one day at a time until our beautiful Daisy was born, for five nights total over NYE. The staff were so warm and friendly, and they were genuinely excited for us. Getting to know them made becoming grandparents even more meaningful. Thank you all!
