Courtyard Boulder

We felt safe and comfortable here, and would come back. The room was very clean and had a good mountain view. There’s a workout room and a pool, though we didn’t use the pool, so I can’t say whether it has a jacuzzi. The mattress was a little hard, but I prefer that to the soft, sink-in kind. They offer discounts for Veterans, AAA, and seniors. I don't remember the exact savings, maybe $35-40, but our final price was around $87. Breakfast costs extra, and I was quoted $10-$15. We skipped it so we could get ahead of traffic and head home.

I was a bit concerned when I saw my room was beside the elevator, but I never heard it. The Marketplace had good coffee and great breakfast options, and the staff were so friendly. It's convenient for getting to Downtown Boulder. I was greeted when I came back for the day, which was a lovely, memorable touch. It felt like coming "home" away from home. A nice place for a business trip, and I look forward to staying again.

Traveling alone, I was alarmed to find that Room 155 is beside an exit door that never locked, day or night. My safety matters a lot to me, but Marriott management didn't seem concerned about the unlocked door or the inaccurate distance information. I was visiting Colorado for the first time from Australia and relied on the website's stated distance from the Courtyard Marriott to the University of Colorado. Because that information was wrong, I ended up spending a lot on Uber rides and eventually had to rent a car. I was very disappointed by how little concern Marriott management showed.

The room was clean and spacious, and each one had a balcony or patio. The main drawback was the thin walls. We could hear everything next door and outside. The location is great, close to Downtown Boulder and about an hour from Denver and the National Park.
