French Quarter Resort by Coolvacay

The rooms are clean, though a little dated. The door locks kept freezing, so we regularly had to get someone to let us in. Of the two hot tubs, only one was warm.

The place was convenient and very clean, but the furnishings are extremely old. The bed and couch were the most uncomfortable I've ever felt, so I ended up sleeping on the extra pillows. There was hardly anything on the walls, which made the room feel dark and uninviting. For a small unit, it had a surprising amount of useful stuff: a little stackable washer and dryer, vacuum, broom, and all the dishes we could need, including measuring cups, a mixing bowl, blender, salt, and pepper. The mini dishwasher was so old it flooded the kitchen. We couldn't get through the gates to use the hot tub, and even from far away we could hear it gurgling, like it didn't have enough water. At least my mother enjoyed the bathroom's jet tub. We were booked for two weeks, but the front office only set our key for one. After we got back very late from Silver Dollar City, we were locked out. It was no fun after a long, tiring day, though someone was on the property overnight and could let us in. With what people pay to own these timeshares, you'd think the properties could afford to update them.

We used a timeshare and stayed for a week, from Saturday, October 18th, through Saturday the 25th. The room was great, with a complete kitchen and a large living room and bedroom. It was clean and well maintained, and there was an outdoor patio with furniture. My wife enjoyed the whirlpool tub.

The French Quarter was clean and conveniently located, with the essential dishes stocked. The connecting bathroom worked perfectly. The second bedroom had a nice king bed, but I had nowhere out of the way to put my suitcase. The front desk is staffed from 9 to 5. A sister property about 10 minutes away is monitored around the clock.
