The Suites at Fall Creek

This was our second visit, and there's plenty to do, with two pools, an activity center and miniature golf. It's also not far from the strip. The mattresses were our one complaint. They were painfully hard, maybe changed when Wyndham bought the resort, and we hurt the whole time. If they replace them, we'll definitely come back.

The price was great and it's close enough to Branson to get around easily. Everyone at the front desk was kind, and the hot tub in the indoor pool area worked great. The little Mexican restaurant was the bomb. I promise you won't leave hungry. We've been coming to Branson for years, and that roller coaster at night was like, wow! Great place to stay.

The room turned out to be pretty nice once we made it there: a king bed, kitchenette, comfy couch that reminded me of my Granny’s, and a fun shower. The mounted soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were great too. There’s an elevator, which helped with my girlfriend’s mountain of luggage, and it’s wheelchair friendly. The stairs are another story. Getting there after dark would be rough. The map was nearly impossible to follow, and the Branson roads are full of curves, so check in before sunset if you can. No washer or dryer anywhere, despite what you might assume. The neighbors are close enough that I kept my Grammy-level acapella to myself. A couple more things: the gas station’s two quarter machines swallowed my whole $6, and Domino’s delivery brought my spirits back. The girl in the picture does not come with the room. I checked. Despite the scavenger hunt, I had a great stay and would come back.

Save yourself the trip. I traveled from Maryland to Missouri after Spinnaker Resorts offered a discounted four-day resort upgrade in return for attending a sales presentation. I went to the presentation and met the terms, but they canceled my reservation without calling or emailing me. Trying to sort it out got me vague answers, deflection, and no real effort to fix what happened. They seemed to know what had taken place and still did nothing. To me, this felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch: get the presentation attendance, then quietly drop the promised stay. I consider that fraud, and it was cynical and shameful. I’ve filed a dispute with my credit card company and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I’m not finished. I traveled in good faith and was left with the loss and no accommodation. Anyone looking at a package or “no-obligation” presentation should know that Spinnaker Resorts didn’t honor its obligation to me. Document everything, record calls where legal, and think hard before making the trip.
