We stayed four days because this was the closest hotel to Winder. It had only opened about two weeks earlier, and the rooms were nicely appointed. The staff were very nice. The buffet breakfast was okay, though there weren’t many choices, which I suppose is typical for a SpringHill. You have to ask for a room refresh since they don’t do it daily. Even then, they only left towels and emptied the waste cans, so I wasn’t impressed. I also disliked needing to put the room card in a slot to turn on the light by the coffee maker. I left the room with my card in there, and luckily my wife had another one. I doubt powering two lights this way saves much electricity; someone at corporate must have thought it was a bright idea. Still, it was a very nice stay and I’d come back when I’m in the area.

We’d definitely stay again. The hotel was only three weeks into being open, yet seemed to have its operation sorted out, and the rooms were the cleanest we’d stayed in for a long time. Rhonda checked us in, offered us a choice of floors, and gave us the Marriott Platinum gift, something many places forget. The staff were courteous and very helpful. My son has celiac disease, and they had gluten free breakfast muffins for him. The hotel is right beside I85. Highly recommend.

Since the hotel is new, the room was clean. Breakfast was mediocre, there wasn’t a waffle maker, and one of the breakfast attendants was somewhat rude.

Caleb in the lobby made our whole Marriott/SpringHill Suites stay the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. He was kind, professional, helpful, and pleasant, more so than anyone we’ve encountered across hundreds of hotel stays. Thank you, Caleb!
