Melbourne All Suites V=Mini Hotel

Breakfast was included, and the menu changed a little each day. With four kids, having everyone eat well in the morning saved us time and money. We stayed five days in a two-bathroom suite, and housekeeping left fresh towels and took out the garbage each day. The staff really seemed to care, parking was plentiful and close to our room, and the grounds were kept up. There’s a pool and a fire pit with seating, too. We'd stay again if we're back in the area.

Mike’s breakfast was the best part of our stay. The cheesy grits, French toast, eggs, bacon, and grilled pepper sausage were seasoned just right, and the hostess was warm and welcoming. A few front desk staff stood out too: Paulette, Jennifer, John, and the wonderful night shift woman whose name I’ve forgotten. Evelyn was easily the best housekeeper, always friendly and great at her job. She should be head housekeeper. Our room was clean and had the basics, though nothing fancy. The refrigerator leaked for four days and nobody knew why, and I’d like to see new fridges, more pillows, nicer decor, and the vents cleaned. My allergies went wild in the room. The toilets also kept clogging. Daytime remodeling disrupted the peace, though I appreciated being able to stay in the same room throughout. Some rowdy teams and workers staying there disturbed us at night and early in the morning. It might help to put those guests in an area away from families looking for quiet. Staff did step in quickly when we reported the behavior. Also, be aware that weekly payments aren’t refunded if you check out early.

The shower was spotless and had hot water right away, and there were lots of thick, soft towels. I slept well on the comfortable bed, with plenty of blankets and spreads. The bright paint and shutters gave the room a Keys feel. Lamps were nice, and there were enough outlets within reach for my devices. I enjoyed staying here.

We originally booked four nights, then added two more because the master suite worked so well for my family of five. There was room to move around, two bathrooms, and a handy kitchenette. The staff were kind and always greeted us with a smile, so I felt comfortable there. When my truck stalled right in front of the check-in office, both women at the front desk were patient and understanding while I arranged to get it fixed. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Melbourne.
