The Bivvi Hostel

I’ve stayed here over the years, and management has consistently gone out of its way to make my visits enjoyable and do right by me. Russell especially came through when there was a reservation mistake. He sorted it out quickly and professionally, turning a situation that could’ve been stressful into a good experience. I really appreciate the service and recommend this place.

There’s a great ski crowd in the common area, and the fellow guests I shared with were easygoing. I never felt unsafe, though I’d like to see a women-only dorm since every dorm is co-ed. During my stay there were lots of men and a few women, with a range of ages. For skiing Breckenridge without a car, the location works really well. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the base of Peak 9, and there’s a bus stop right out front that takes you to and from the resort, right by the lifts. The hostel also has a hot tub on a porch overlooking Breckenridge, a room for winter sports gear, a simple canned bar, breakfast cooked in the morning, coded lockers, and fresh towels on request. Maintenance stayed on top of things, and the shared bathrooms and common areas stayed clean. It’s one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.

I was traveling solo around Colorado in October and had a wonderful stay here. The views were incredible, and I really enjoyed the hot tub and the staff’s amazing service. Sharing a room is a good way to save money while still getting a quiet place with a great atmosphere. 10 out of 10!

The rooms were spotless, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and knew their stuff. Breakfast was delicious too. If you check in before five, there’s beer or wine to enjoy during happy hour. Rates felt very fair for such a beautiful hostel. I’d highly recommend it for a Breckenridge trip.
