I'd never left a negative comment about any business in my 46 years before this stay. I arrived shortly after 6:00, and a few hours later it was clear I wasn't going to sleep. The bed was crooked and hard and the AC made a strange noise, but the gnats in the room were the real problem. They were there when I checked in, though I tried to put up with them, thinking you get what you pay for. They wouldn't refund me because apparently I had to complain within 30 minutes. I'd also seen other online reports about bugs and didn't want to keep switching rooms in the hope of finding a clean one. So I drove 10 miles down the highway to the Holiday Inn Express, which felt like heaven after that dump. This stay ruined Super 8 for me. Worst place I've ever tried to stay.

They had a room open during a heavy thunderstorm, and the price was relatively low. That was about all I could say in its favor. The room was dirty and full of bugs, though I don't think they were bedbugs, just a lot of other kinds. The mattresses were old and saggy, the toilet kept running unless you jiggled it, and the sink stopper didn't work. Check-in was done by hand without a computer. This place shouldn't be part of a major chain.

The price I was quoted on the phone changed by the time my family arrived two hours later. The service was pathetic, and they lied to us. This isn't a real Super 8 and isn't affiliated with the chain.
