Blue Coast Inn and Suites

The rooms were clean and quiet, with beautiful views, comfortable furnishings, excellent hot water, a Keurig, and lots of TV channels, including movies. The WiFi was on point, the best I’ve ever had at a motel. Jasper the manager was so friendly and went out of his way to make our stay great. The housekeeping staff were friendly too. Great place.

The staff were amazing, and we’ll stay here again. We had our cat and dog with us, and the rates were very reasonable. Our spacious room had a very comfortable bed, coffee, a small fridge with a separate freezer, and a microwave.

The room didn’t feel clean when I arrived. It smelled awful, the fresh sheets had two dirty paw prints in one corner, and I took a photo right away in case they tried to claim I’d brought an animal and charge me. There was a comb left on the nightstand, paper in the peephole, dust everywhere, hair in the shower, old stained towels, grime on the soap dispenser, and trash, dust, and bug carcasses under the bed. The microwave was dirty, stained, and smelled of old food. The fridge had stains and hair and hadn’t been cleaned out. It felt like they’d only changed the sheets and towels. Other reviews suggest this has been a problem for a long time. Housekeeping needs more training or staff, and the place needs a major renovation. The room was tiny, bare, and arranged like a fancy prison cell, with a few appliances and drawers placed around the bed. The heater smelled, had no thermostat, and ran all night. I woke at 3 a.m. to a 120-degree room. It blew downward from above the trash can, which seemed like a safety concern. The TV was on when I arrived, as if someone had just been there keeping it warm, and the top quarter of its screen was broken. The room was nothing special for the price, but those things wouldn’t have bothered me much since I only needed a place to sleep for a couple nights. The lack of cleanliness was the main issue.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room smelled horrible, there was food left on the floor by the previous guests, and my feet turned black just from walking across a floor that clearly hadn’t been cleaned for some time. The toilet didn’t work right, and the bathroom sink had obvious cigarette burns. The TV didn’t work at all, and the heater only ran on high. The manager was creepy.
