The room was recently renovated and comfortable, the restaurant was good, and breakfast was good too. The staff were amazing. The hotel is an older, tired property that's undergoing renovations, and the pool still needs work. That takes time and money, so a little patience helps. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the amenities.

We've stayed here nearly every year for the dart tournament, and it used to be a fine place. This year was awful. We didn't get the rooms we'd reserved a year earlier, and my card was charged several times, with one excuse after another. Only one hot tub jet worked. After three nights I had bug bites all over my body, obviously bed bugs. Nasty. We won't be back.

For the price, it's hard to go wrong. This is the most affordable motel in Brookings, and it has a pool and a decent breakfast every day. Some areas really need repairs, but I stay here nearly every week.

The photos are misleading. The place is old and nasty, with peeling paint, a dusty room, a filthy bathroom, and dirty hallways and stairs. Someone had left a dirty pillow on my bed, and the bathroom badly needs remodeling. There's no keycard lock on the outside hotel door, so anyone can just walk in. Save yourself the grief and stay somewhere else.

No complaints from me. The place is affordable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's also a sports bar serving food, with lots of TVs for watching football.
