We had plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel made it easy to reach all the schools on our list with affordable Uber or Lyft rides. We tried breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food was good and priced about like other hotel restaurants, though the menu wasn't very extensive. The service was kind and generous there and throughout the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we're back in Boston. My husband, our two teenage boys, and I stayed three nights at Iris Hotel Boston in February 2026 for college tours and our son's ACT at nearby Brookline High School. We arrived after 10 p.m., and the room type we'd booked, a Family King/2 Queens/2 Queens, wasn't available, so they upgraded us to a Family Suite/2 Queens. They also honored the free parking perk from our booking site, Luxury Escapes, without any trouble. The suite had two full bathrooms and a kitchenette with a dining table. Having the kitchenette was especially handy for making breakfast early, before the ACT. Trader Joe's, H-Mart, and CVS are nearby, so groceries were easy to pick up without driving. The room was wonderfully spacious, but the only window was in the separate bedroom. Since it was winter, we all missed having more natural light.

The valet charge caught me by surprise. It wasn't listed online, and valet is required unless someone drops you off. Still, it felt like a fancy stay at an affordable price, and I'll be back. The place was beautiful and clean, with really comfortable, fresh linens. Our room had robes, a fridge, microwave, clean AC, a gorgeous bathroom, and Xfinity TV. I didn't order room service or try anything from the bar menu, but the restaurant dining room looked really nice.

Coolidge Corner is an easy neighborhood to get around on foot, with lots of good shops and restaurants nearby. I'm from CT, and we visit relatives in Brookline often. It's a lovely town, and the T makes Boston easy to reach. We had family in Brookline for an early Christmas get-together this past weekend, so I booked a room for my daughter and granddaughter, who were coming from out of state. Iris Hotel is just down the street from them in Coolidge Corner. The reviews sounded great, and the hotel lived up to them. It was a lovely experience from beginning to end. When I called to say we were on our way, Isaac noticed I'd booked Christmas night instead of that night. I panicked, but he quickly found availability for us at the same price. The rest of the staff were helpful and personable, too. The hotel itself is beautiful. My daughter sent photos of the room, and it looked fabulous. She was really happy with the stay and loved the breakfast at the restaurant the next morning. I highly recommend Iris Hotel.

Every staff member we met was pleasant, friendly, and professional, and we’ll definitely be back. We were there for an appointment at Dana Farber. Brian at the front desk found that out and upgraded our room and got us a medical rate. He gave us a very friendly, professional welcome, and William, the valet, was a joy. The rooms are beautiful. We had a couple of housekeeping problems, but they were handled quickly. We ordered room service from the restaurant, and the food was delicious and arrived on time. There’s a full fridge/freezer and microwave in the room, but no crockery or silverware. It would’ve been nice to have a few plates and bowls, though it’s a minor thing. Hotel Iris, it was a pleasure.

I was disappointed by the big glass windows. The view is gorgeous, but the metal frames let in freezing cold, which means more heating and wasted energy. A really good hotel should also be doing something about its environmental impact. The room was lovely, the mattress felt just right, and the duvet was cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I’ll come back.
