The issue wasn’t the stain itself, but how I was treated afterward. Semi-permanent hair dye marked part of the bathtub and shower curtain. Before leaving, I told housekeeping what had happened, explained it could come out with standard cleaning products, and gave the housekeeper a $25 tip for the extra work. They said it was no problem, that they had stain remover, and that they’d handle it, so I thought it was settled. Later Manny, the owner, called, raised his voice, spoke rudely about the stain, and told me I wasn’t welcome to stay there again. I found that unnecessary and unprofessional. I’d stayed there before, spent hundreds of dollars at the property, treated staff respectfully, and tipped housekeeping generously. I own a professional cleaning and organizing business, so I know stains and messes happen in hospitality. I would have gladly paid for any actual damage if there had been a problem. Instead, I was met with hostility over something housekeeping had said was easily resolved. I won’t be back. Customer service and professionalism fell far short.

The host was pleasant to work with, and the inn was affordable and clean. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place at a reasonable price. I did read some of the few negative reviews here, but most didn’t match what we experienced or seemed to be about things outside the establishment’s reasonable control. We had a great stay.

Manny clearly takes pride in looking after his guests. My room was amazingly clean, very comfortable, and felt safe. Daily housekeeping to freshen and tidy the room was an added bonus, a service I’ve had at some four- and five-star hotels that don’t provide it. Quiet Corner Inn is a hidden gem, and I’ll stay there every time I need to be in the area. Well done, Manny!

I paid $180 for one night, which felt greatly overpriced, especially with no breakfast included. I couldn’t call the hotel directly and could only reach a booking agent. That agent told me the hotel was full and I couldn’t get a room that could be canceled, but I believe they lied. Only about a third of the rooms in our area had cars. The office wasn’t open at 10 pm either.

I stayed at QCI for four nights on a business trip, using two rooms. It was the best experience I’ve had at a non-name-brand hotel. Nothing fancy, but it was clean, convenient, had great wifi, and the service was the BEST. I didn’t miss having a pool, breakfast, or cocktail hour. Best time in Brooklyn (CT!).
