Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath

We rented two rooms and found several problems. The towels were dirty, the bathroom fans, heated lights, and electrical outlets didn’t work, and the dresser drawers opened all the way and wouldn’t stay shut. We had to wedge folded paper in to keep them closed so they wouldn’t be a tripping hazard. The pool area was very dated, and the ice machine on our floor was out of order. The staff were friendly and courteous, but the rooms weren’t up to standard. Given what we paid for each room, we expected working fans and outlets, and clean towels. We reported everything to the front desk, who said they needed to speak with a manager. We later called and spoke to a manager, but were offered only a $27 credit. That didn’t seem acceptable considering the rooms’ condition and cleanliness. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or stay here again.

Traveling with our dogs was easy here, with a clean room and direct access from the room to outside for the pets. The staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast went well beyond what we expected: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, fruit, coffee, juices, and pastries. There’s also a pool and gym, all at a great price. I highly recommend it for people with pets.

I chose this place for the whirlpool suite, then found no whirlpool tub in the room. The front desk person said that suite no longer exists and gave me 10% off. The next morning I went for breakfast at 8:15, but everything was already gone. A really disappointing stay.

We came for the Bowdoin Swim meet with 18 high school swimmers. The staff were professional, courteous, and incredibly accommodating. The kids got a warm breakfast at 6:00 AM and could start the day right. Sarah deserves a raise. Thanks for being so kind!
