We needed an inexpensive place for one night after the heat and electricity went out in our motorhome. The staff were friendly, and we parked near the entrance. Our first-floor accessible room was close to the front desk and laundry room. It had clean sheets and towels, a bare floor that seemed clean, and a hot shower. We both slept fine and didn’t see any bugs. I wear shower shoes in hotel bathrooms and sleep in socks and thermal underwear because I know they’re always clean. It’s an older, run-down hotel, as I’m only now seeing in the other reviews. We checked out early and got breakfast at Biscuitville.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but James at the front desk really cares about his work and was awesome. That’s why I’m giving five stars. The property isn’t the most beautiful, and it’s not a five-star motel, but it’s affordable and conveniently located.

It’ll do for now, especially when money is tight, but this place isn’t upscale or what I’m used to. The internet is terrible, so don’t count on using your phone or laptop for entertainment. They say there’s breakfast, but there isn’t, just coffee, and you’ll need to bring your own creamer. I saw two or three roaches, though I came prepared for them. Otherwise, it’s okay temporarily.

This was a horrible stay. Roaches were crawling all over the room, on the floor, nightstand, and ceiling. The air conditioner didn’t work, the room was filthy, and the sheets were dirty with cigarette burns all over them. The towels and washcloths were stained, the lighting was bad, and the whole hotel smelled awful. There was drug paraphernalia outside on the ground. The hotel seemed about 50 years old and in need of being torn down, and there was even a cat roaming around inside. The housekeeper on the second floor was loud and swearing in the hallway. The front desk staff were rude, and stood outside talking with homeless people who live on the hill at the entrance and across the street at the bus stop. Around 9 a.m., staff came banging on my door, as if nobody might be asleep or trying to rest before getting back on the road. It was so filthy that I’m worried I might have picked up a disease by touching something. I think some kind of health inspector should check this hotel. I’ve never seen anything like it.

The room looked nothing like the online photos. The bed had stains and who knows what else, and the floors were sticky and dirty. The bathroom floor was caving in around the toilet, and paint was peeling all through the bathtub. Water from the leaking fridge pooled underneath and in front of the dresser. The microwave only worked after I unplugged it and reset it each time. There was a bag over the smoke detector, lol.
