It’s a cute, very old motel in fairly good shape, clean and well maintained. The prices are reasonable, and you can see it’s been updated recently with new flooring, appliances, and TVs. The beds are decent, and overall I thought it was very nice. They say there’s a kitchen in every room, but mine only had a microwave and fridge. Maybe it was behind a doorway that had been blocked off. I’ll stay next time I’m passing through.

The location’s handy, with a restaurant and casino next door, Safeway across the street, Uptown just minutes away, two major bus routes, and the Interstate two blocks off. It’s the most affordable place in town, and we’ll definitely stay again. The managers are wonderful, the rooms are cozy with all the essentials, and the beds are comfortable. It’s quiet at night since they don’t tolerate trouble. There are coffee and breakfast bars in the morning and a working ice machine. The A/C and heat work well, and the shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water.

Friendly staff couldn’t make up for how bad the rooms were. First they put us in a room where the heater wouldn’t shut off, even though it was 90 degrees outside, so we had to move. The shower didn’t work, the towels were stained, and the sheets smelled awful, like someone had used the bed without changing them. The carpet was wet and disgusting. One of the dirtiest motels we’ve ever visited.

The beds were comfortable, the staff friendly though they seemed inexperienced, and the room was clean and tidy. It worked out as a nice late-night stop. There were some drawbacks right away: parts of the blinds were missing, I couldn’t get on the WiFi, the water pressure was iffy, and the surrounding area wasn’t desirable.

The room was decent for the price, and aside from one major issue the stay was pleasant. It looked good, but the bathtub seemed permanently dirty, so we didn’t use it. The air conditioner kept switching on and off because its outlet wasn’t working properly. At night we saw it arcing and sparking, so we unplugged it. The window wouldn’t stay open and had no screen, since it was set up not to open. The room was stuffy, so around 1:30am I propped the window open. It finally started cooling down, and we slept better afterward.
