I loved the country setting among the vineyard and chickens. We had a happy-hour visit with wine and cheese, and enjoyed the owners Dennis and Marjorie’s company and stories. Breakfast was delicious too. Highly recommend!

We spent five nights in the cottage, which felt rustic, charming, peaceful, and relaxing. There’s a beautiful pool right in front, and downtown is just a mile away. A wonderful breakfast was served each morning. Dennis and Marjorie are sweet and interesting hosts. On our first visit to Calistoga, we loved our stay at the Bear Flag Inn. There’s also a main house with several guest bedrooms, and the pictures show their rooster, chickens, and backyard.

Breakfasts were first class, and the Inn is perfectly located for visiting Calistoga and the NAPA valley area. Dennis & Marge are great hosts and really fun to spend time with.

Marge and Dennis made delicious homemade food, from eggs benedict to waffles, with fresh eggs from their chickens. We also had wine from their vineyard during cheese hour on the lovely patio, where we enjoyed chatting with them. And all the wonderful animals were a joy to see. The Bear Flag Inn was fabulous. We loved the accommodations and the property's location. The room was immaculate, and the rustic, authentic feel brought us back to a time that’s now forgotten. Dennis and Marge are warm, friendly, and entertaining people.
