Candlewood Suites Panama City Tyndall AFB by IHG

We needed somewhere to stay while our home air conditioner was being repaired. The manager understood how stressful that was and was really helpful when we called. Our room was clean and nice, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had good toiletries. The front desk staff were helpful too. My husband and I are already thinking of coming back for a little break from the teenagers.

There was plenty of closet space in this studio, plus a nice kitchen, bathroom, and a king bed that was really comfortable. We did run into a few small annoyances: the TV needed a reset when we arrived, and after we corrected the time on the digital thermostat, the room stopped cooling until we fixed it. Water pressure was nearly gone when we came back late one night, though it was back to normal by morning. None of that ruined the stay, but it was noticeable.

This was my second stay, and I had another great experience. The two people who checked me in were wonderful. I think one of them was the manager. I'll keep staying here when I'm in town. Thank you!

After a bad stay at a run-down beach hotel that cost us over $200 a night, moving to the Candlewood was just what we needed. I used to work as a Holiday inn housekeeper, so I pay attention to cleanliness, and this place went beyond what I expected. It's about 30 minutes from the beach, and they let me check in at noon even though check-in was at three, which helped a lot while traveling with my dog. The room had a full kitchen with pots, pans, bowls, and more. The bed was very comfortable, the TV was huge, and the bathroom looked new, with a walk-in shower. The Dove body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion smelled great. I finally slept well. A friendly long-haired woman in a blazer, who I think was the housekeeping manager, made us feel welcome too. I'd stay here again.
